Each quarter MAGIC produces many newsletters. Our primary newsletter is called The MAGIC Touch. It is designed and written for adults (parents, caregivers etc.) who have a child affected with a growth affecting medical condition.
Pictures say a thousand words and we love to brag about MAGIC kids!!!
Therefore we are offering parents and grandparents the opportunity to submit photographs of MAGIC kids on the cover of our quarterly newsletter, The MAGIC Touch. No names or other identifying remarks will be listed, just the picture. This is not a "professional" contest.

Photography Submission Guidelines Agreement
As you can imagine this is a large project. Therefore, you must read and agree to these Guidelines in order for your submission to be "official". Omitting any part of the form below (or leaving a printed version blank or unsigned) will disqualify your entry as we take the protection of the children and the foundation EXTREMELY seriously.
Submissions may be electronic ( a 2 step process here) or via regular mail.
Regular Mail:
Send your signed release form (print the form and fill it out)
Do NOT write on, paperclip or staple the picture. Post it notes stuck to the back are great if you have them to identify the picture. (Example: John James, submitted by Mary James) This information is only for our tracking of the pictures and will not be used.

Electronic Submissions:
Fill out and submit the online form on this page. After you have sent the authorization please email the picture(s) to jamie@magicfoundation.org. Please put NEWSLETTER PHOTOGRAPHY in the subject of your email. Also please rename your pictures with an identifying name so that we can keep track of pictures and authorizations. For example-name your picture(s) John James, submitted by Mary James#1.jpg. Those submitted without identifiers will not qualify for the cover!
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Absolutley no nudity will be allowed- no matter how cute they are in the picture!
2. Resolution of electonic pic's must be greater than 150 but less than 500 dpi.
3. Acceptible format for pictures is jpg, tiff, or pdf
4. The size of the picture must be at least 4x5 inches but no greater than 8x10 inches. If you are uncertain as to the size etc. feel free to send it in anyway, and we will see if we can adjust it to fit our needs.
5. Pictures must be of affected MAGIC children, but can contain other family members.
(NOTE Regarding: pictures containing the images of other people
By law we must have permission to use a picture on our cover- of everyone represented in that picture. So if (for example) Aunt Sue is holding baby Josh- you would submit your authorization as Josh's mom/dad, and we will also need Aunt Sue to send us her permission. So to simplify matters...less people...less headaches!)
6. Professional photographs are protected. Therefore, we do not accept studio portraits, or other professional submissions.
7. Photographs submitted may also be used in various MAGIC publications with the stipulation that no name or location is listed with that picture.
8. Do not send us your only copy of a picture! Pictures will not be returned as we save money everywhere possible.
9. This opportunity is only available to those with a current membership in The MAGIC Foundation.
Each quarter we hope to bring you the face of new MAGIC children. Season appropriate pictures are GREAT!!! So start shooting this season to submit them for use next year!
