Pediatric Endocrinologists are specialists in children's growth. It is a very demanding profession as they are highly trained in each of the endocrine glands and the system as a whole which is tremendously complicated to say the least.
And as technology and biomedical science continues to offer more amazing discoveries, these specialists much not only stay on the cutting edge of all the discoveries they must also stay informed about the new medical treatments available.
Our national office does maintain a list of Pediatric Endocrinologists (we are aware of) from throughout the United States and other countries. However, this list is constantly changing. Feel free to call our office at: (708) 383-0808 ext. 200 and ask for the names and numbers of physicians in your area.
We can point you to the Hormone organization's website which offers an online-zipcode searchable database (click here and a new window will open taking you directly there).
If you would like to get comments from parents about a particular pediatric endocrinologist you may want to sign up for a Listserv of growth hormone families and post a specific question. To join this private listserve you must join or have a Yahoo ID. Then you have to locate the specific listserv (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MAGIC_list/messages?o=1&yguid=233301092 )and get permission to join (this is to protect the families privacy and avoid people using it for sales).
If you are a Pediatric Endocrinologist and would like to ensure that your practice is listed, please go to our Physician Referral Application page here.
