Hello All,
I am pleased to report that I had the opportunity to meet with several staffers from several senators offices on Wednesday, September 3rd in DC. The great news is the Abuse of GH bill is about to die off in 3-4 weeks when congress is off for the remainder of the year. More important, and on different occasions, I did receive comment that if this bill was ever introduced again odds are it will never come back as a controlled substance (or scheduled drug). Almost all offices expressed their concerns of ever having to handle the calls they encountered from all of you back in the beginning. So consider this as a great victory for MAGIC, one we were told in the beginning could not be won, and one that would have never been possible without the help from all of you that picked up the phones and taught our lawmakers that parents need to be heard before decisions are made.
Our thanks to Senators Schumer, Enzi, Grassley, Burr, Hatch, and many more that worked with us for so many months to make sure the children were not affected.
Again, congratulations to all of you, your friends and families, that helped with the massive number of calls received back in the beginning of March and on. We did the impossible..............we won!
There will be no more updates on this issue as we understand the Abuse of GH bill will no longer exist after next month.
